Badian Island Land on the Tanton Strait

Situated on the Tanton Strait to the West with views of Negros, Moalboal and and Pescador Island. There is Electricity connected to the island and a limited water supply, although it is possible to fund a private pipe line at not such a great expense.



Right of road access

There are plans to complete a government road around the Island which will come as things develop, but as of now its only about an hours walk around the Island. The land for sale reaches a high point almost on the sea then there is a short government owned track through the mangrove to where boats can access.



How to get here

From the Airport

The Mactan International Airport is located in Mactan, Cebu; it is served by major airlines like Cebu Pacific Air and Philippine Airlines. You can also fly from Metro Manila to Cebu. There are lots of domestic flights and sometimes it is more economical because the airlines offer cheaper airfare promotions. If you arrive early in Cebu, you can leave straight to Badian or you can stay for a night in Cebu City and have your trip to Badian the next day.

From cebu bus terminal

Your choices to come from Cebu City to Badian are: from the airport you can take a taxi to South Bus Terminal look for Ceres Bus Liner via Barili, you can also take Librando Trans. There are buses leaving Cebu City to Badian every 30 minutes or 1 hour. It will take 2-3 hours of bus travel to reach Badian from Cebu City depending on the number of stops. You can also hire a taxi at the airport or at the city to Badian, it is more comfortable and faster. Make sure the driver knows where Badian is. The fare is about Php 1500.00 - Php 3000.00 and be prepare for some bartering and some hidden costs. The driver might ask you to pay for the gasoline at the gas station. You can bargain but not too much as they might get angry when they realize how long it takes to reach Badian.

Arrival in Badian

Once in Badian it’s either a short walk through the market to the sea where you can negotiate a boat ride to Badian Island, or take a tricycle to Manayas pier where you can arrange a boat. The trip to Badian Island only takes about 5 minutes but it will probably take longer to arrange the boat.
